BENJAMIN JAY is a second-generation hair stylist who has been in the salon industry since he was 14. Having started working with his father, he fell in love with the business and customer service aspects of a salon and decided to follow in his mother’s footsteps and attend beauty school. There he learned the artist process to add to his business understanding.

His passion for branding, business, art and giving back led him to do multiple Paul Mitchell the school tours, sharing his success formula with future professionals all over the country. 

Benjamin is the owner of the HAIR LOFT ltd. His visionary thinking, leadership and passion for business has helped The Hair Loft, Ltd. see growth from $800K a year to a multi-location, multi-million dollar salon.

Benjamin has developed the FORM + FUNCTION Salon Education, which has become host to some of the best advanced education offered in the beauty industry by industry icons such as DJ Muldoon, Sally Rogerson, Ira Pope Sage and Noogie Thai.

CHRISTIAN AWESOME began his career in the hair industry in a unique way. While studying at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, he traveled with his band around the midwest playing shows and giving haircuts to band members. He then attended and graduated from Paul Mitchell the school Bradley. After deciding that Chicago would be the place for him to reach his fullest potential, he joined the Paul Mitchell the school Chicago team for their initial opening in 2008. 

Christian is a Stylist and Education Director at The Hair Loft, Ltd in Chicago's River North and West Loop neighborhoods. Through a commitment to high standards and strong systems, he's been able to help the salon build a strong team of passionate and talented stylists.
